WAIMIHA

WEDDING BELLS. PITT AMS—BRADLEY. Pale pink sweet peas and giant blue larkspur decorated the Presbyterian Church, Manunui, for the wedding, on February 10, of Ivy Elwood, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Bradley, to Walter James, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Pittams, of Waimiha. The Rev. McKenzie performed the ceremony and Mrs. S. Grant presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father wore a charming gown of cream ring velvet. The slender fitting bodice was finished with chincilla lace and the puffed sleeves were shirred at the wrist. The shirt was cut on full lines and the train was inßet with shirring from the waist-line. She wore a flowing veil caught on the head with orange blossom. The bouquet was comprised of cream roses and maiden-hair fern. The two bridesmaids were Miss Louie Bradley, sister of the bride, and Miss Hilda Ruffles. Their ankle length frocks were salmon pink ring velvet with tight fitting bodices, puffed sleeves, and full skirts, with a sash caught at the waist with a big diamante. Their hats were of Leora straw to tone and bouquets were of pale pink and white sweetpeas. Mr. Harold Pittams was the best man and Mr. Keith Bradley, groomsman. After the service a reception was held at Knight's Hall. Mrs. Bradley received her guests wearing a smart brown figured silk marocain frock with hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pastel toned blooms. Mrs. E. Pittams, mother of the bridegroom, wore a becoming frock of navy floral marcocain with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of carnations. Mrs. Stade, grandmother of the bride, wore

a smart navy costume with hat to match. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaids, a signet ring. The bride travelled in a smart blue ensemble with fawn summer coat and small hat. Mr. and Mrs. Pittams will spend their honeymoon touring the north by motor car.
