THE DUKE OF WINDSOR

SOCIETY CLAIRVOYANTE’S PROPHECY. ‘WILL NOT MARRY MRS SIMPSON.’ (From a Special Correspondent.) (By Air Mail.) London, January 16. A woman with strange psychic gifts, a friend and adviser of the Royal Family for many years, has just died in London. She was Mrs. Cecil Campbell, famous in society for her clairvoyant powers. One of her last prophecies was that the Duke of Windsor will not marry Mrs. Simpson. Instead he will marry a European Princess.

Many of Mrs. Campbell's previous prophecies have come true. She forecast her own death months ago—said it would take place shortly after January 2 this year. Mrs. Campbell died on January 5. She forecast" the date when the Abyssinian war would end, forecast the trend of German politics. King Edward VII., Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, the Tate Lord Leverhulme, and Edgar Wallace were a few well-known people who regarded Mrs. Campbell as a trusted friend. King Edward consulted her frequently when she had an office in Bond Street, though, of course, she could not reveal what the problems were • which he brought her. Mrs. Campbell never accepted a penny in fees from the people she advised and warned about their future. She lived on a small annuity, and her one delight was to help others. She treated all her “clients” equally.
