SIX-MONTHS TRAIN TOUR

BY DOMINION REPRESENTATIVES DURING CORONATION YEAR. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 11.20 a.m.) London, July 23. A project of an Empire train tour of Great Britain during the Coronation year was suggested by the Victorian Agent-General, Mr. Linton, and will be considered by the Coronation Committee, on which the High Commissioners will be asked to nominate representatives.

Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, Secretary for the Dominions, approved the project. Earl Elgin, presiding at a special meeting of the Empire representatives, stated it would be a gesture of loyalty to the King and an excellent means of educating England on the significance of Empire. It is estimated that the cost of a six months ten-vehicle train tour would be 1137,000.
