GERMAN JOURNALIST SENTENCED.
IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE
(Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 12 Noon.) Berlin, July 22. After proceedings in camera, Herr Waler Schwerdferger, a Journalist of Borgen, Zeitung, was sentenced to lifelong penal servitude. He was arrested in August and accused of revealing to foreign diplomats and journalists instructions and other confidential information issued to the German press by the Minister for Propaganda. The Nazis considered the information injurious to State interests.
