SCHOOL CONCERT

PRESENTATION AT EMPRESS THEATRE. TO-MORROW EVENING. A School Concert is to be presented by the pupils of the local Primary and High School pupils to-morrow evening in the Empress Theatre. The concert is to consist of short plays, choruses, school choirs and part singing, which, judging by the interest taken in the school competitions at the Winter Show, should attract a large audience. Though a number of extra items will be given, the programme will consist in the main of the entries in the Winter Show Competitions. Only a few were able to see the performances in the small concert chamber then, and the committee decided to give a public performance for the twofold reason of showing the work of the pupils, and of raising money for the school. That money is urgently required does not require stressing, and for this reason alone the people of Te Kuiti should give the concert their wholehearted support. The quality and appeal of the Winter Show performances, however, demonstrate that in supporting the school in this way patrons will receive an excellent evening’s entertainment. The prices of admission are children 6d, adults Is 6d.
