COMBATING AIR ATTACKS
FURTHER PARIS TESTS. PEOPLE AROUSED AT 2 A.M. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 11.20 a.m.) Paris, May 15. Following yesterday’s daylight air attack test, Parisians on the left bank of the Seine were aroused at 2 a.m. by the howling of thirty-six sirens, which was the signal to darken the streets for an hour. Every street lamp was covered with a blue gauze and aerodromes circled over head observing the efficiency of the darkening. The authorities pronounce the expei’iment a complete success. Yesterday’s tests reveal the difficulty of firemen and ambulance men driving in gas masks.
