NGATARAWA ROAD

TO BE METALLED. For some time past the settlers on the Ngatarawa Road at Mahoenui have bee'n making representations through Mr. Broadfoot, the member for Waitomo, to have their road metalled. The Minister of Public Works agreed to undertake the work provided the settlers and the County provided £SOO towards the work. As a result of a conference held recently between the settlers, the chairman, engineer, and clerk of the County ahd Mr. Broadfoot, a basis was arrived at whereby the work will proceed. This work comprises six miles of metalling and serves an excellent belt of country.
