RAILWAY EXCURSIONS
TAURANGA AND WAITOMO. Readers will be pleased to learn that the Railway Department has arranged a fast excursion train from Poro-o-tarao to Tauranga and Mount Maunganui for Sunday, 10th February. The train runs alongside the beach and passengers just step off the train on to the golden sands of the Mount. The fare charged is one of the lowest on record and no doubt many will avail themselves of this wonderful opportunity 'of spending a day at the beach. The accommodation available is limited, °and intending passengers are advised to book their seats early to save disappointment. The Railway Department has also arranged a fast excursion train from Ohakune Junction to Waitomo Caves (Hangatiki) for Sunday, 10th February, at a .particularly low fare. Arrangements have been made for passengers to be given a through ticket which includes motor fare and guide fees, and therefore after joining the train will have no further worry. It is expected many will take this opportunity of seeing the show place of the world.
Full particulars of fares and train arrangements for both excursions will be found in the advertising columns of to-day’s issue.
