Anglers report excellent week-end sport among the rainbow trout from various districts of this territory. Pishing the waters of the Marakopa and Mahoe streams at Te Anga, Messrs. F. 0. R. Phillips, H. T. Gorton and T. McCready (Otorohanga) secured six fine fish, with a weight of 331bs, for a few hours' fishing. In the same locality Messrs. R. F. Park (Otorohanga) and Alex. Nicholson and party (Ohaupo), landed 11 splendid trout, with an average weight of just on 31bs. A party from Te Kuiti landed 13 rainbow from the Marakopa, and these averaged 2libs. All these catches were in splendid healthy condition. Outside fishermen speak highly of the sport to be enjoyed along the waterways and the well-stocked streams of the Northern King Country.
