The seriousness of unauthorised persons altering the electrical wiring of dwellings or other premises was emphasised by prosecuting counsel m the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North, when a relief worker was charged with a breach of the regulations. Counsel said defendant had laid a wire within three feet of the ground, and had any children come in contact with it, they must have received a severe shock. Defendant was fined 10s and costs.
