FLYING TRAGEDY
THE MISSING ATLANTA. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 12.45 p.m.) Sydney, this day. A report was received in Sydney that one of the planes searching for the missing Atlanta saw the machine burned on the ground. At least some of the occupants are believed to be dead. Details are at present meagre. A message received yesterday states that a Quantas aeroplane, the Atlanta, with two passengers on board, is missing between Longreach and Winton, Queensland. The Atlanta is a four-seater piloted by G. Chapman. The missing passengers are Mr. R. Henricksen, of the Shell Oil Company, and Mr. R. McKloe, who is head of the Sandalwood Syndicate.
