It was reported to-day that the British freighter Millpool, bound from Danzig to Montreal, foundered during a heavy gale late on Monday, 700 miles off the coast of Labrador, carrying 26 of a crew. Two ships criss-crossed the last given position of the Millpool without finding a trace. The British freigher Ainderby, from Swansea (Wales) to Montreal, is also in distress in the same locality, with her No. 1 hatchway adrift and the forward iron bulkhead and the bridge partly wrecked. The chief officer was injured. Two ships are standing by the Ainderby.
