VON HINDENBERG’S VIEWS. EXPRESSED TO NEW AMBASSADOR. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 11.45 a.m.) Berlin, October 18. The new British Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Eric C. E. Phipps, presented his credentials to the President, Marshal von Hindenberg, who replied by agreeing that international co-operation was necessary at present and in the future. The President assured the Ambassador of his anxiety for friendly Anglo-German relations.
