SHORT-LIVED ROMANCE.

The pretty 19-year-old Miss Janet Snowden was married in haste in New York last month, thereby becoming an Italian “princess,” but she has no intention of repenting at leisure. She left her husband in less than a week and announced that she will sue for the annulment of the marriage. Miss Snowden met Prince Di Siriggnano Don Francesco Carvita a fortnight previously at the home of Prince and Princess Rospigliosi. Princess Rospigliosi is her sister. The new princess says she was persuaded against her will by her sister and brother-in-law to marry. Her husband declares that they have not quarrelled and he confidently expects his wife to return home. But the new princess wants the marriage annulled on the ground that statements she made on the marriage license are untrue, inasmuch as she declared that she was of age, whereas she was only 19.
