WHAT IS A BINGE?
A BULGE OR A BIFFThe question "What is a binge?" arose at Clerkenwell County Court, England, recently. Miss Hilda Margaret Prance, who is employed by the 8.8. C., claimed £4 15s from a lorry driver. She said that the lorry driver caused a "binge" in the corner of her car. The Registrar (Mr. Friend) expressed surprise that anyone from the 8.8. C. should use such an expression as "binge," which he understood usually meant "the night before the morning after." He suggested that she meant a dent or a bulge. Miss Prance: A bulge comes out. This went in. It was a biff. The Registrar: You mean a deep depression, eh? Judgment was given for the amount claimed and costs.
