The Government Meteorologist, Mr. .jff\ C. Bates, reports as follows for The 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-day:— The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to strong and backing by west to south. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled still, with scattered showers, but indications for a temporary improvement shortly. Cooler temperatures. The barometer has a rising a tendency.
