"RAMONA" AT THE EMPRESS.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Ist and 2|nd January, will be screened the world-famed story "Romona," picturing the early days of California under the colourful regime of the Spanish Dons. Ramona is the adopted daughter of Senora Morena, a proud and haughty Spanish widow, and owner of a vast ranch. Morena falls in love with a handsome young Indian chief. Then there is a train of intrigue, exciting and interesting from start to finish, in which are some fine portrayals of early life in California. Dolores de Rio takes the leading part in this fine picture.
