TO THE UNITED STATES.
EXPORTS IN NOVEMBER. A remarkable increase in the exports from New Zealand to the United States of America for the month of November is reported by the American Consulate General in Wellington. The value of commodities for which invoices were certfied by the American consular officers in Wellington, _ Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin was 2,060,290 dollars (£425,600), an increase of 1,383,978 dollars (£285,800) over the figures for November of last year. Notable increases were:—Butter £57,200, frozen meat £51,600, greasy wool £56,500, calfskins £12,000, cheese £12,600, hemp £IO,OOO, kauri gum £9000,' grass seed £SOOO, slip© wool £4600, pelts £7200. December exports to date also show a favourable increase.
