Mrs. J. Kiernan, wife of Mr. J. Kiernan, manager of the Waitomo Power Board, accompanied by her two children, Bernard and,Betty, will be passengers by the Corinthic, sailing for England to-morrow from Wellington.

Mr. W. J. Tinkler, of Te Kuiti, accompanied by his wife and family, left Te Kuiti yesterday for Wellington, and will sail for England by the Corinthic to-morrow. Mr. Tinkler, who hails from the port of Hull, has been resident in Te Kuiti for some 21 years, and is returning Home to pay a visit to his people. Mr. Tinkler'is one of the oldest local residents and during the time of his residence here he has become identified with several local interests, including the Chamber of Commerce, of which he is a member. Mr. Tinkler was the first bricklayer in Te Kuiti, and he was called upon in this connection in the building of the Bank of New Zealand. Besides this latter occupation, Mr. Tinkler has also beer, engaged in farming pursuits since taking up residence here. As a curious coincidence it is interesting to note that Mr. Tinkler left England 24 years ago, on April 11, 1904, by the Corinthic, and is returning by the same boat on the same day of the month.
