'There should be a heavy demand for the Christmas number of the N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review now published. Combined with the curlent number, it is increased doubly. Tho Christmas section itself comprises artistically reproduced full-page photographs of wonderful Wairakei, Ng/auruhoe, Franz Josef Glacier, a model Maori village, typical Maori mother, Pacific Isles and the Wanganui River. Everyone will turn to the centre pages entitled “Brides and Bairns,’ revealing charming examples of both presented in picturesque studies. Quaint animals at the Zoo, and pets in picturedom form other striking series and what may be regarded as special features are the beautiful coloured cover of a bathing girl, supplement of Sam Henderson, the notable jockey, and a fine full pap© of the champion racehorse “Limerick.” The stage is represented in the latest photographs of prominent artists, while tho film world has a wide selection of favourites from the Hollywood studios. Feminine interest will also be centred in the fashion gems displayed throughout the issue. Just to mention, a few of the many other attractions, the Invercargill amateurs in “Floradora,’ graphic snapshots of the Northland Trotting Club’s annual meeting in Whangarei, launching of H.M.S. Devonshire, the world’s largest submarine, Greenwich follies, beauty ballets, and innumerable others. The Review is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.
