PIO PIO DAIRY FACTORY.

INCREASE IN OUTPUT. A marked advance in dairying in the Pio Pio district is evidenced by the returns to the factory, as shown by the following comparison. During November, 1926, the make was just under 50 tons, and tli© pay-out for that month a matter of £4510, whilst for the month of November, 1927, the butter made was just under 60 tons and the amount to be disbursed on the 20th December is £BI7O, which is represented by an advance of Is 5d per pound butterfat, exclusive of the cost of cream cartage. The grading of the finished article through the Government grade stores proves that the quality and high standard is being maintained, quite a number of boxes being registered at 95-£ points. The condition of the pastures in the Company’s territory is excellent, and conditions generally point to a very successful season.
