STOCK SALE REPORTS. OTOROHANGA. Tlie Fanners’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Te Kuiti, reports:—At the fortnightly Otorohanga sale on Wednesday there was a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Good breeding ewes met with keen competition, but except for Jersey heifers the cattle ‘demand was quiet. Quotations: — Four and 6-tooth ewes 24s Bd, 4-year owes 18s Id to 19s 2d, f.m. ewes 13s 6d, fail" woolly store lambs 13s, other 7s 9d to 11s. Fat cows £3 15s to £5, unfinished cows £2 10s to £3 10s, stolre cows £1 10s to £2, steers £4 to £4 7s, 18-months steers £2 17s, 18-months Jersey heifers £4 to £5 los, for good quality Jersey heifer calves £2 15s to £3 12s 6d, others £1 10s to £2. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale held' on Wednesday, 6th inst.:—A heavy yarding of sheep, lambs and vealers came forward, also a medium yarding of bullocks. The sale Avas inclined to drag throughout, most lines selling well within values. We quote:— Bullocks £9 15s to £ll, vealers 28s to £3 3s, cows (plain) £3 10s to £4 10s, wethers 21s to 26s 3d, ewes 15s 4d to 16s. lambs 18s 6d to 23s 6d. WESTFIELD. Messrs Dalgety and Col., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale of fat stock aft Westfield on Wednesday, 6th April, as under:— Beef.—An average yarding, prices being very firm at last week's rates. A line of extra choice, light-weight heifeis, on acount of Mr G. Alley, Kati Kati, averaged £6 2s 6d, extra choice ox sold to 27s per lOOlbs, choice and prime ox 24s to 265, just killable 21s to 235, prime young cow and heifer 235, just killable 20s to 225. Sheep.—An average yarding, tlierc being little or no change in values. Extra heavy prime wethers (shorn) made £1 6s 9d, heavy prime wethers £L 4s 6d to £1 5s 9d, medium wethers £1 3s to £1 4s, light and unfinished wethers £1 to £1 2s 6d, heavy prime ewes 17s 6d to 19s 3d7 lighter 14s to 16s 6d, other ewes 9s to 12s 6d. Lambs.—A normal yarding, selling ati late rates. Heavy prime lambs made £1 3s to £1 4s 6d, medium prime lambs £1 0s 6d to £1 2s Od, light prime lambs £1 Is to £1 2s. Calves.—A, good yarding. Good quality calves sold under good competition, but inferior were not wanted. Runners made £2 3s to £2 13s, heavy vealers £3 5s to £3 12s, medium vealers £1 10s to £2 4s, light vealers £2 4s te £2 9s, rough vealers 9s to 12s, fresh dropped 4s to 16s. Pigs.—A small yarding values being unchanged. Choppers made £3 to £4 4s, heavy b a coiners £3 8s to £3 13s, medium baconers £3 5s to £3 7s, light baconers £3 to £3 4s, heavy porkers £2 14s to £3, medium, porkers £2 11s to £2 13s. light porkers £2 3s to £2 10s.

HAMILTON. New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:— At the Hamilton sale on Tuesday, beef was penned in. large numbers, and prices were again easier. In the store section a small yarding of weaner Jersey heifers, and 18-months-old Shorthorn heifers met with a good demand. A medium entry of sheep sold at late rates. We quote : Light fat steers £6 12s to £7 ss, prime fat heifers £4 11s to £4 16s, fat cows £6 2s to £6 11s,_ ordinary fat cows £4 5s to £4 19s, lighter do £3 8s to £4, fleshy cows £2 15s to £3 4s, weaner Jersey heifers £3 5s to£4 ss, dairy cows £5 to £6 15s, fat ewes 13s 2d to 15s 6d, light fat 2-tooth wethers £1 to £1 Os' 6d, fat lambs 19s to £1 3s, forward woolly lambs 14s Id to 14s 9d, store do 12s lid, shorn store lambs 10s lOd, f.m. ewes 13s. Pigs.-—Heavy baconers £3 4s to £3 Jls, medium do £2 17s to £3 2s, light baconers and heavy porkers £2 8s to £2 14s, porkers £2 Is to £2 6s, stores £1 4s to £1 9s, slips 16s to £l, weaner s 10s to 12s. SALE, CmTpEDIGREE PIGS. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Col, Ltd., Hamilton, report:— We held the second annual sale of the Lucernedale pedigree pigs on account of Mr F. Discombe at Hautapu ou Wednesday, and despite most in dementi weather there was a large attendance of buyers from many parts ol the North Island, and the sale was a most successful one. The young large white sows mated with the- boar reached the highest figures, three being sold at 45 gns each, weaner Li.W. sows 124 to 14 gins. weaner LAV. boars 11 to 14 gns, 18-months LAV. boar “Ghulesville Dominion” 29 gns; Berkshire sows m farrow 214 gns to 24 gns, weaner sows 5 to 9 gns, weaner boar's 94 to 12 gns, middle, white weaner boars 8 to 10 gns, weaner sows 124 to 14 gns, large black young sows 184 to 19 gns, weaner boars 9 to 10 gn,s, young Tamworth sows 124 to 15 gns, weaner sows 6 to 10 gns. weaner boars 6 to 7 gns.
