TE KUITI MARKETS. The King Country Auctioneering Co. report;—Apples were iii abundant supply at the markets on Saturday last and values were very low. Good quality cabbage and cauliflowers said at late rates. Quotations: — Pigs.—"VVeaners (small) 5, medium 8s 6d each. Poultry.—Hens Is 10s to 2s Gd, roosters Is 6d to 2s, cockerels 2s to 2s 9d, ducks 2s 6d to 3s 3d. Fruit.—Apples, Jonathan 2s Gd to 3s Gd, Delicious 3s to 4s, Winesaps 4s, B.D. 2s 6d, Five Crown 2s, cookers 2s to 3s per half bushel case. Pears: Kieffer's 2s to 3s 6d, W.N. 2s, Winter Coles 4s, 8.8. 4s to 5s 6d per half bushel case; grapes, Is per lb; lemons, Is per dozen; passkm fruit, 9d to Is per dozen; quinces, 5s 6d 201bs. Vegetables.—Potatoes 3s 6d to 5s Gd, onions 4s 9d to 8s 6d, swedes 3s 6d per sugar bag, kumeras 2£d to 4d lb, celery Is Gd to 2s 6d doz. bunch, pumpkins 6s to 9s per cwt., cabbage 4s to 10s, cauliflowers 3s to 12s per dozen, red cabbage 3s to 9s per dozen, lettuce Is to 2s per dozen, beet Is Gd, carrots Is 3d to 2s, parsnips Is to Is 9d per dozen bunches, jam melons Gd to 2s each, tomatoes 2s Gd to 4s per case.
In addition, a moderate catalogue of general furnishings and sundries were disposed of to a fair attendance of buyers.
