CROYDON AIR DISASTER.

MOST TERRIBLE IN CIVIL AVIATION. (Press Association.—-Oopyrigli fc.) (Received 11.15 a.m.) London, December 29. At the inquest on the victims of the Croydon air disaster the coroner, in opening his address, said the disaster was the most terrible in the history of civil aviation in England. He deeply sympathised with the relatives and friends. He trusted it might comfort them to know that there was reason to believe that the pilot and passengers were all rendered unconscious before they reached the ground or immediately upon the impact. Their injuries were terrible, but their sufferings were mercifully short and probably in no wise commensurate with their injuries.
