EVOLUTION OF MAN. (Press Association—Copyright.) (Received 12.58 p.m.) Sydney, this day. Lecturing on Evolution, Professor David said that the 500,000,000 years which had elapsed since the Cambrian period, 'represented only about onetenth of the time that life had existed on the earth. On an evolution hypothesis, the beginning of life here went back to something like 5,000,000,000 years.
