Foster, captain of the r> Trevessa, was recalled to give evidence at the Board of Trade inquiry into the loss of the vessel. He stated that, after mature consideration, he believed the loss was probably due to the opening of seams, due to the bursting of rivets, which might have been caused through the vessel taking mud at Port Pirie.
