THE TAURANGA SEAT.

A LIBERAL CANDIDATE. WILL NOT OPPOSE SIR JOSEPH WARD. • ((By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Tauranga, this day.

Mr Robert King, Te Puke, is freely mentioned as a possible candidate for the Tauranga bye-election in the Liberal interest.

Mr King takes a prominent part in local government and contested the seat on a former occasion against the late Sir William Herries.

If, however, Sir Joseph Ward consents to contest the seat, Mr King no doubt will support him.
