PERSONAL.
Mr J. O. Wrightson, of Auckland, is visiting Te Kuiti. Mr E. Wyllie, of the Government Audit Department, is visiting Te Kuiti, and staying at Kelvin House. Visitors at Kelvin House include Mr and Mrs Marshall (Paeroa) and Miss McFarlane (Mairoa). Visitors to Te Kuiti staying at the Grand Hotel include Mrs and Miss Bahl (Wanganui) and Mr O. Moore (Kahikihi). Mr W. Johnson, former postmaster at Kaikoura, returns South to-day, after a short holiday visit to Te Kuiti. Nurse Lupton leaves for Auckland by the early express to,-morrow to spend a week's holiday with her daughter. Mr James Boddie, chairman of the Farmers' Union Trading Co., leaves for a six months' visit to England at the end of March or the beginning of April. Mr M. Wynyard, president of the New Zealand Good Roads' Association, and a member of the Waitomo County Council, was in Te Kuiti yesterday in connection with council matters.
Mr C. Lafferty, who stood in the Liberal Labour interests for theWaikato seat at the last election, has decided to contest the new Hamilton seat in the same interests at the forthcoming election.
