WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

The Editor. Sir,—l notice that two correspondents in your paper, signing themselves 'Way Back' and 'Wayback Ratepayer.' cast reflections on the Council, but make no specific charges If these correspondents will be manly enough to come out in the open, 1 shall be pleased to reply to them. I might Bay that the Waitomo County Council welcomes fair criticism, but unless a critic reveals himself, there is always the chance, as I fear there ia in this instance, that other motives prompt the letters.—l am, etc., J. WALL, Chairman W.C.C.
