OUTPUT OF MUNITIONS SIR. D. HAIG'S APPRECIATION. London, Thursday. The Press Bureau announces that Sir Douglas Haig has written to the Minister for Munitions expressing the appreciation of the army at the efforts of the workers as shown by the supply of guns, rifles, ammunition, aircraft, and tanks for the recent operations. He relied on the workers to ensure that the army would lack nothing in future. The reduction of the number of premature cartridges ?proved that manufacture, filling and inspection had reached a high standard.
