NEGOTIATIONS SUSPENDED.
TURKS REFUSE TO CONCEDE ADRIANOPLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright London, Monday. After examining /the latest proposals of the Turkish delegates, in which Adrianople was retained, the allies suspended the conference without definitely breaking off negotiations in the hope that the Turks will reconsider their attitude. The Turkish delegates' conditions provided that Turkey's new western frontier shall follow the Maritza and Tundja rivers, giving Kirk Kilisa (where there are Christian villages) to the allies.
It is proposed that Turkey sbßll retain Adrianople, where she is prepared to demolish the fortifications. A message from Constantinople state that a member of the Turkish Cabinet says that even if the Powers supported the allies, Turkey woul4 still be unable to give up Adrianople and the islands in the Aegean Sea.
Turkey, he said, is prepared to surrender six vilayets (provincial subdivisions) and it was sheer territorial ejuttony to ask for a seventh.

It is suspected the possibility of the early fall of Adrianople influenced the suspension of the conference of ambassadors. " The conference has resumed.
Reuter states it ib believed united action is 'expected in the direction of advising the cession of Adrianople.
POPE AND PALESTINE.
London, Tuesday,
The Pope is sending a Note to the ambassadors requesting that Palestine be removed from Turkish control, and be placed under the Powers' guarantee.
TURKISH LOAN IN LONDON
London, Tuesday.
A small Turkish loan not intended for war pufposes.haa been concludedin London, and this is taken to indicate the prospect of peace are more hopeful.

Newspapers express pleasure at the suspension and opine it will prevent a rupture and enable Europe to intervene. '
