COMMERCIAL.
A highly successful saio of registered pedigree Holstcin-Friesian cattle belonging to the well-known breeder Mr T. W. Discombe. of Camp Farm, Otahuhu, was conducted by Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons on Saturday last. There was a very large attendance, breeders being present from all parts of the Auckland province. Tho highest price obtained was for the purebred bull United States, bred by the New South Wales Government, which realised 100 guineas. The four year old cow Camp Farm Duchess was a close runner-up,7o guineas being paid for her purchase by Mr TJiob. Stewart, of Mount Albert. The remainder of the herd fetched prices ranging from £l-1 to .i'lo, the purchasers being Auckland, Waikato and Thames Valley farmers. A threo weeks' old calf liy United States out of Camp Farm Gladys was purchased by G. U. Watt, of Cambridge, for 10 guineas. Grade Ilolstein cows sold up to ,£2l 10s, grade Holstien heifers, springing, up to £l9, grade yearlings up to .£lB, month old ilolstein heifers ,£7 to .£lO 103, Ilolstein heifer calvea £2 to £5 ss, dairy cows up to ,£l9 10s,
