It will interest the general public to learn that the masquerade dance, held in the Rink on August 22nd, in aid of the above fund, cleared the sum of £lB 10s. Expenditure: Pastry etc. £1 lis 3d, printing and advertising £3 8s 6d, Mr Christian 255, Green and Colebrook 10s lOd, A. E. Robinson, masks 16s (less 7s donation)—total £7 lis 7d, leaving credit balance of £lB 9s lid. Such a astisfactory result is creditable to all concerned, and the details in connection with the financial position may be seen at the Chronicle office.
