MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION. The executive of the above union met in the Chronicle office last evenThe secretary s action was endorsed in the matter of the gate money taken at the Maori touring team's match. The secretary of the N.Z.R.U.wrote stating that C. Boles was entitled to play for the Rugby Union. Mr W. J. Coombs, Pukeweka Sawmililng Co., wrote stating that he hoped to be present at the club's function when the Shield was to be pre- ! sented. A handsome donation was received from the Otorohanga Club towards the funds of the union.—ReHolved that the secretary write to the secretary of the Otorohanga Club expressing the union's gratitude at receiving this handsome donation. The sum of £5 5s was voted to the Te Kuiti Club to go towards the purchase of caps. Resolved that a letter of condolence be forwarded to Mr White, stationmaster, Te Kuiti, expressing sympathy with him in his sad bereavement. Accounts as read were passed for payment.
