<► AUCKLAND BRANCH PROVINCE. The following are the questions relating to platform, which candidates throughout New Zealand for a seat in Parliament are requested to reply, a record of answers given by the said candidates to be recorded by the branch, and forwarded to the provincial office after elections:

Will you advocate and vote that the Crown tenants have the option of purchasing the freehold of their lease at the original value, provided that in the case of the L.l.p. tenants, the addition of one per cent, capitalised be added if he has paid only 4 per cent, rent; and in the case of the renewable leases at the capital value at the time of the purchase, less the lessee's interest in the lease to be decided by arbitration, the optional issue in the disposal of Crown lands to be continued.

2. Will you advocate and vote that only ratepayers be empowered to vote on local government matters or elections in the counties, road boards, and rural districts.

3 Will you advocate and vote that no further protection duties be imposed. 4. Will you advocate and vote that the construction of public works be by contract, to be let by tender. 5. Will you strenuously oppose any act, such as Agricultural Implements and Sales Act, and insist that agricultural implements be admitted free. 7.
