END OF CASH TRIAL. RECOMMENDED TO MERCY. [llY TKLKI.T.AFH.- i'RKSS ASSOCIATION. ] Auckland, Tuesday. At the Supreme Court yesterday the jury, after a retirement of nearly four hours, found Cash guilty of wife murder, and added a strong recommendation to mercy on the grounds that prisoner received provocation. The judge sentenced prisoner to death, but added that he entirely agreed with the recommsndation and would see it forwarded to the propsr authorities.
