KIO KIO DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.

A friendly inatch, was fired between the Qtorohanga troop of the No. 2 Waikato Mounted Rifles and the above club on Easter Monday at the Kio Kio rifle range. The attendance on either side was not as large as anticipated on account of the inclement, weather, but those who were present had an enjoyable day's sport. Victory rested with the Rifle Club, who won by 100 points, the aggregates being—Rifle Club 336, Mounted Rifles 236. The ranges were 200 and '&00 yards. It is to be hoped fhat this initial match is only the forerunner pf many a friendly and tliat it may be the ?pe.ans q'f creating kppn rivalry for supremacy with ihe rifle, between the respective tea^a.
