TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In the report of the Te Kuiti Vigilance Committee in your issue of November 9th, appears the following: —"We have secured a direct mail service between Te Kuiti and Mangaohae, via Oparure." . The' settlers of Mangabhae Were not aware that the Vigilance Committee were interesting themselves in the matter, but if (as the above paragraph would lead anyone to believe) they were solely instrumental in getting this service,* they have Mangaohae's thanks; if not, the Mangaohae settlers prefer "giving thanks to whom thanks are due. —I am, etc., INTERESTED."
