BASKETBALL
BLENHEIM TOURNAMENT. GRADE IT. WON BY HAUMI. T’eains from all parts of the province, including some from as far afield as Kaikoura, Ward, Seddon, and Havelock, competed in the annual Yankee tournament Qf the Marlborough Basketball Association, hold in glorious weather at Lansdowne Park on Wednesday last. The entries,. 24 in number, showed an increase. over those of last year, and competition for the most part was keen, many attractive exhibitions of the .game being given. the now teams competing at the tournament was Haumi, a combination from Kaikoura suburbs, who put up an excellent performance and won the grade IT. championship very impressively. A high standard of play was also achieved by the- College represenatives, who put up a highly creditable showing, being defeated only twice in the tournament. Detailed Results.
