It was 6 o’clock before the party returned to Kaikoura. At Claverley there are 70 men in camp, at Conway 68, and at Oaro 120. At Oaro a hall 150 x 31 feet is being erected on Mr Solomon’s property. This will be used for entertainment purposes. On the foreshore opposite Air L. Horner’s residence, a large store is being built for the department.
