MANGAMAUNU NOTES.
The amusement evening conducted by the Hapuku Hall Society social committee was most successful. The prizewinners were Aliss Violet Boyd and Mr Hector Tombs. There was also dancing which was thoroughly enjoyed to music supplied by Air W. Thomas and Miss J. Boyd. The next evening will be held on Wednesday, Afar 16th, at 7.30 p.m. The next series of euchre tournaments at Mangamaunu Scbi ol commences on Friday at 8 p.m.
Alessrs J. .T. Hurley and R. Wild, members of the Canterbury Education Board will bo at Mangamaunu School on Saturday morning, to discuss matters relative to teacher’s residence and additional accommodation. Residents art* respectfully asked to attend. The following arc asked to attend a match commencing at 1.30 p.m., on Saturday, as a curtain raiser to the senior football match:—Hector Yaxley, Dud Icy Parsons, AL Jacobs, J. Cootes, N. Boyd, Horace Yaxley, Les Smith. W Adair, G. Eaton, J. Rainey, C. To] chard, A. Thorpe and any other player desirous of a game.
