NORTH AND SOUTH ISLAND. ■ PAUSING INTO LINE. (Per United Press Assn.) DUNEDIN, East Night. The South Island Fertiliser Companies have fallen into line with the North Island in respect to an increase in the price of fertilisers. The South Island Companies are in a different position from the North ’by reason of the fact that the prices are quoted delivered free at main points, Ashburton, Timaru Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore, Invercargill. Prior to June 30, the price charged, in view of this, was £4 5s per ton against £4 a ton for the North Island. The subsidy of five shillings a ton ha& been discontinued and the price is £4 8s 6d delivered at free main points.
