(Per United Press Assn.) Snowed In ! North Egnraont Hostel : I Snowfall Heaviest Known New Plymouth, This day For the first time since it was built, the North Egmont Hostel is srowed in and all communication is broken. Snow is still falling, and the North Committee Park Board is concerned over the plight of the occupants of the Hostel, i The fall is the heaviest ever known, and at the hostel measures . six feet with deeper drifts. This ! morning it teok a man 20 minutes to go 150 yards.
I Frcm the Ola House to the Hostel motor track is impassible to traffic, and the telephone line has broken up. Snow has been falling since Thursday, and its weight has crushed in* the roof of the engine shed at the Hostel. It is believed that the stock of firewood is very low at the Hostel At present it is impossible to tramp up the track. The last person to negotiate the track got through on Monday night
