PERSONAL NOTES.
Mr K. J. Holyoake, MP. for Mobueka, left on retnrn this morning. Messrs E. J. Scantlebury, Wilkins, ‘Wood and Knapp left this morning on return to Nelson. The appointment of lira Knox Gilmer, of Wellington, as Government nominee on the Wellington College Board of Governors, in succession to the late Mrs E. W. Kane, is announced by the Minister of Education. Mrs Gilmer is the seventh daughter of the late Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon —Press Mrs S. Healy, of Reeffcon, received word to-day of the death at Napier of her sister, Mrs Eliza*Allan. The deceased with her husband, who resided in Reefton about 15 years ago, received injuries in the Napier earthquake, and has been an invalid ever since. She was aged 59 years, and is survived by her husband, but has no family. The death took place on Tuesday evening at his residence Cobden, of Mr William O’Reillr. who bad been on the Btaff of the Grey District Power Board almost since its inception. He is survived bv a widow and family of one son and three daughters. Mrs P. Kane ef Reefton is a sister of the deceased. The family will have the sincere sympathy of all in their bereavement.
