A 'patrol of the native National Guard, officered by United IStates Marines, came into contact with several hundred Insurrectionists in the rear of the town of Apali, on Thursday. A fierce battle ensued, three marine officers and eight natives being killed, and an unestimated number of Insurrec. tionists. The battle was one of the most serious of recent years.
