OUT OF GAOL
QUICKLY BACK AGAIN FOB A FRESH OFFENCE

WELLINGTON, Last Night. Discharged from prison yesterday morning, after serving a sentence of three months’ imprisonment for stealing money from a motorhus, Lindsay Edist Edward Gamer Panel Beater, aged 21, converted a motor car to his own use and was arrested in the Customhouse Quay, after he had been chased by Constables through the city streets.
When he appeared before Mr T. B. O’Neill, S.M., at the Police Court this afternoon, he was sent hack to gaol of a further period of three months. Sub Inspector Lopdell states the car was taken from the city early last night and accused, with another man ard some gtfla. too* It to a party »* Kaiwarra. The car was reported missing and late at night. Constable Grant saw it going np Taranaki street and followed' it through to Willis street, where he
saw a man and three girls get out. When he chased the car, he saw accused sitting in the driver’s seat and also another girl. As the Constable approached, the accused started the car hut the Constable jumped on the running hoard and although Gamer swerved the car from side to side in an endeavour to jerk i bim off, he managed to stop it. Accused then jumped out of the car I and ran down Ghusnee Street into Sturdee street, where Constable Fletcher took up the chase and ultimately arrested him in Customhouse Quay. I
