A good attendance of the general committee was present at the Miners Union Office last evening. Mr Tbos Williams presided. The tender oi Mrs Collis was accepted ior smail goods The canvasers reported a successful response to the appeal for funds, and the financial side is assured. Mr A. Cereseto has promised a picture benefit on Tuesday evening, December 22nd, and a vote of thanks was accorded him ior his generous action. It was decided to authorise the Chairman and Secretary to.make enquiries as to the admission of a side show and itinerant vendors, and to interview the Domain Secretary on the matter, and they be given authority to charge a fee. Sir A. Langley was appointed to attend to the refreshment counter.
