Another extraordinary performer on the billiard table will probably soon ap* pear in the colonies. The Ballarat Con* rier says it is likely we shall shortly be afforded another grand exhibition of billiards at Craig's Hotel, Mr Koppers having received overtures from the English champion for the appearance of his brother, Mr Herbert Roberts, champion handstroke player. Tbis gentleman made the enormous break of 1777 at Driffield, in Yorkshire, in April last, and bis evening's programme consists of 600 up, Mr Robert giving 300 points start. He will also play 75 cannons, Mr Roberts giving 40 start ; after which he will give an exhibition of his marvellous fancy shots, consisting of the following, namely:— Twisting balls into middle pocket ; forcing six shot ; double forcing six shot ; twist* ing balls into all the pockets; cannon round the hat ; cannon into one, two, and three hats ; cannon off the table on to the floor; steam-engine cannon of wood* work ; cannon on all the pyramid balls ; celebrated cue cannon, striking the ball twice ; steeplechase cannon ; throwing the ball length of table and making it stop dead ; semicircle twist cannon, showing the effect of side ; celebrated cannon ofi four cushions ; wonderful snake cannon round 16 tumbler glasses and two decan* ters ; and several other fancy shot 3; coo> eluding with spinning a ball on a plate foi the time of from six to seven minutes.
