[fbom oub mining, repobteb.] ENERGETIC. Wednesday, January 31. Only eigh'een hands at the present time are engaged in breaking down, and tbe supply for the mill is kept up with that number. Tbere are six others employed on tbe upper level driving what is termed the eastern cross, cut, and wbicb it is anticipated will intersect the surface reef of the Wealth of Nations. Over 700 ounces of amalgam was obtained from the plates for about ten days crushing. The battery was stopped for about fifty hours last week, but is now working admirably.
