OBITUARY
' MR THOMAS WARNER
80 YEARS IN COROMANDEL
Mr Thomas Warner passed away at the Coromandel hospital on December 6 last at the age of 86 years. He had been a resident of Coromandel district for 80 years. Born in Auckland, Mr Warner came to Coromandel with his parents when he was a child. In his early days he served in the Post Office but later took up mining and painting. He was always interested in music and' was a member l of the local band for 63 years. He was also an enthusiastic yachtsman and took a keen interest in yachting and boating until his
death. He is survived by six sisters, Mrs F. Ragers (Avondale), Mrs Eva Wilkinson (Parnell), Mrs E. Browne (Coromandel), Mrs Ella Spicer (Devonport), Mrs May Green (Huntly) and Mrs Lillian Watts Jngleburn, New South Wales). The funeral took place at the Buffalo cemetery on Thursday, December 7, when a large attendance at the graveside paid a last tribute to one of CoromandeTs pioneers.
